Church LifeHow can I help? There are lots of ways that you help and get involved in what God wants to do here. Below are just a few. You can... Pray for usWe would love you to do this. Please either use the contact form, email our prayer co-ordinator by clicking here or come along to one of our prayer meetings. Ministries - Meeting needs with loveAs followers of Jesus, we believe that active involvement in the church and the community is the way we follow in the footsteps of our Lord and Saviour. Because of this belief we are developing many ministry opportunities at Andover Vineyard. Any of these areas would love your involvement, and all of them exist to serve the differing needs of our church and our community. Our prayer is that at Andover Vineyard, you will find a place to serve, as well as a place to be served. Street Connections Arrange outreach to connect with and benefit the local community. Ideas are subject to the team leader's approval. Social Services The local Social Services have agreed to contact us if they feel we can help them in any way. It could be anything from befriending an older person in a Nursing Home to providing an emergency food parcel for a local family. Please contact the office to find out if there is anything you could help with. Sarum House Sarum House is one of the two Andover based residential arms of the Test Valley Foyer. It has 18 bed spaces 2 of which are adapted for the use of clients with disabilities. The project is staffed 24 hours a day by project support staff. The residents are young people between the ages of 16-25 years who have become or are threatened with becoming homeless. As well as accommodation, the foyer offers support in areas such as education, finding employment and daily living skills. Residents can stay with us up to 2 years by which time they will have progressed to one of the move-on flats, or to other independent accommodation. As a church, we provide food boxes on request to tide the young people over until their benefits start. Football Once a fortnight we meet for a friendly game of 5-a-side football at Andover Leisure Centre. Any standard of player welcome! Please see the calendar for details of the next game or email the office if you would like to be included on the email mailing list.
